One Hand in my Pocket

Well I wore sweatpants all day. No pockets, no prizes.
It was a weekend of costumes though. Rhonda Faye, a football field and one Rainbow Fish! Halloween is only surpassed by Mardi Gras. The amazingness of costumes never cease to amaze me!
That's it! I'm quitting my job and becoming a costume designer/maker! It's perfect! Custom Costumes by Caillouet! Writing my letter of resignation now!
Back to reality, I brought home work to do....all of it is still in my school bag. I dedicated my weekend to acting like an 18 year old. Now I feel like an 89 year old! I don't want to go to work, but I'm ready for tomorrow so I can meet Jewel!!
By meet I mean be in the same room with, which is the same thing!! And I'm excite about my first personal day' hanging out with the bugs all day and napping!

Welcome weekend

I needed a mustache today. Don't you ever have those days that you know would have been enhanced by one? Of no, then I don't think we would really get along.
The start of the day went well, it's the afternoons that really ruin everything for me. I'm tired, the kids are tired, but not tired enough to take a nap!
I try telling them that in ten years, when they are sitting in math class they are going to regret staying awake during nap time. I guess I won't get my satisfaction until then.
Spain has it right, siestas everyday! Whattttt? I would fit right in! Naps are gifts!!
I'm glad the week is over, ready to hangout with people I've the age of five and not here a Ms. in front of my name.

Today's Pocket's; less because I only had back pockets.
Bribery item: only one kid got to take her shoes off today.
Opened pen: I probably have ink everywhere
Calendar number: unsure
Creepy doll head eraser: confiscated item

Life choices

Today was the kind of day that made me question every life choice I have ever made that has lead me to my current life status.
I started off with a cheery disposition and an "only one more day" attitude, but we quickly slapped in the face by the reality of my occupation and its requirements. Never before have I ever questioned that teaching was the profession for me, now I question it often.
I look forward to the day 30 years from now when I'm re-reading this on my virtual computer wall that I have in my hovercraft and laugh. Currently though, I want to pack a bag, hop on a plane and find work setting up beach chairs in Mexico.

Today's Pocket Surprises:
No shoes at nap coupon (a shameless attempt to bribe my students...also a failure)
Two markers, one marker cap.
Two glue sticks, that I took away from students.
Paper clip.
Lip gloss, because my lips are so dry I want to cut them off!

Here's to the hope of a better tomorrow!

Pocket full of Posies

Wednesdays should be renamed: something along the lines of Punchday, because I all I wanted to do was punch myself in the face. It's over though and I'm ready to move to Thursday!

Kindergarten was full of crazy today. Book fair, fire drill, computer lab, sick students and a short nap.

The contents of today's pockets: two markers; what puzzles me is why I would grab another one if I had one so close; a ponytail, a sticker, a magnet clip, lip gloss, bouncy ball, nickel, the back to a pin and trash.

How could all of these items possible fit in my too tight pants pockets?! I can barely fit in them! My pockets must have powers like Mary Poppins' carpet bag. The worst part is when I sat down one of the objects was poking me, but instead of removing it, I just shifted it a little. My level of laziness has increased since I entered the working world. This does not bode well for my mother's sanity!

Kindergarten Pockets

Running, that lasted. On to the next endeavor! A private look into the life of a Kindergarten teacher...through my pockets. I come home each day with pants full of surprises!

Today: a highlighter, pen, paper clip, maker and a toy lizard!
