The Blues

I'm guessing you learn something new everyday. Wanna know what I leaned today? I am a horrible baker!
My mother is practically famous for her cream cheese squares. People shun her when she shows up somewhere without them, they request them as presents. They are legendary! And I screwed them up royally! First I of course needed to add food coloring to make them blue in honor for out great nation's birthday. This was a fun idea, but a total fail. The turned out green! Second, I completely forgot I was even baking them and they brunt! Not un-edible but not the cream cheese squares everyone loves.
My mother is mortified and will probably never let me make them again. On her death bed she'll probably rip the recipe out and tell my sister to never let me see it.
I also learned that doing a cartwheel becomes increasingly more difficult with age. I use to be able to cut cartwheels across the entire yard. I did like five tonight and I'm already sore!
Tomorrow I'll be on island time! No promise of my witty banter! :)
