100 down

I have survived 100 days of Kindergarten. My first year of teaching is more than half way done! 65 more days until I'm a veteran! I mean, this year has practically been a war. War with myself, my nuggets, my life choices..and so on.
Today wasn't as chaotic as I anticipated. Anticipate, I need to share a story about anticipation. Circa 1998, Lockport Biddy Basketball tournament, getting yelled at by my father "anticipate the pass" repeatedly. At first I did as any good player would do, ignore the shouts from the coach, but after a while it was getting to be too much. As boldly as I could, I turned sideways while running down the court and shouted back "I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!" What a beautiful moment in my life!
Oh yeah, I was talking about Kindergarten. Our 100th day was fun! I loved all the kids shirts and how mine cut my arms in every direction. Pipe cleaners, they are no joke!
I had one of my "active" nuggets pin up to blue today, it was like an out of body experience! I was so pumped, until he threw food at lunch and then punched someone else.
I find myself saying "tomorrow is already Wednesday" instead of "tomorrow is only Wednesday" so I'm hoping my attitude remains! Bring it on hump day!

I didn't take a picture of my pockets, hit enjoy this picture of my shirt!

  1. I love the biddy basketball story! I laughed until I cried. You'd give Chelsea Handler a run for her money with your life stories.
