The spoon wasn't really needed, the virus is spreading like melted butter around our school. I thought for sure I would see my s'mores poptart again but I made it through the day.
One day down, four more to go. Hopefully the rest are less eventful. I know Freud has this entire theory about oral fixation in children but what I don't understand is why they choose the things they do! Today I had one kid with the sticker that holds little Kleenex packets together on her tongue, why?!? Shirt collars, jacket sleeves, erasers, pencils, id tags, thumbs. Are they hungry? I give them a snack everyday! I guess that's another question to scribble on my notebook for the lurd, along with are zebras white with black stripes and black with white stripes and why I never met Barbra Streisand.
Today I wore my amazing polkadot pants that are equipped with deep pockets so the amount of objects obtained today is magical.
Today's pockets:
4 markers: because 3 just isn't enough
Post it note: why is that not in the trash
Crumbled hat from the Veterans Day program: because it not fitting correctly wasn't ok with one of my students
An audio jack: from the radio thy doesn't work
Pen: you know, for writing
Bandaid: to cover my offensive apple tattoo
Paper clip: to hold me together
Mysterious brown object: spit from the mouth if a child to my hand because we have trust issues when it comes to throwing things away
