Today was the last day of my training and I'm glad! It was nice to see things presented in a new way and share ideas with other teachers, but I'm ready to be back.
It does need to be known that I can't build a boat out of clay or foil, but honey, I can build a boat out of bamboo! Bring it on Tom Hanks!
After my meeting I headed back to school and was reminded that it was our fundraiser night at Cane's! So my teacher soulmate and I decided to head to Thibodaux to help work the table! Sitting there putting temporary (but really hard to get off) tattoos and coloring with kids made me realize why I wanted to be a teacher in the first place. I really do love nuggets and think they are brilliant!
Since I couldn't not be involved, I put a tattoo on my face. These things are no joke! I just had to use a mixture of fingernail polish remover (which smelled so awful I almost threw up everywhere) makeup remover, water and enough force to peel paint off the walls to get this thing off. Now my face burns a little and is hot to the touch! The things we do for kids!
No pocket treasures tonight, but I so have a tattoo picture. Post shower, I thought it would just come off with face wash...lies!
