I've entered the mythical 3rd year of teaching. Since I started I've been told "by your 3rd year it'll be smooth sailing". Now, I have to admit that I'm not laying on the floor, weeping and questioning every life choice I've made, but I don't think I would use the word "smooth" to describe my year this far.
We've been in school for a month now, and I've had my nuggets with me for two weeks. They are a good group of nuggets and I already love them! But one of them sneezed on me today, I mean that kid lost weight after that sneeze! Thankfully we were outside and it was just on my pant leg, otherwise I probably would have passed out. I can deal with a lot of things, but if it comes out their face I'm usually disgusted.
Other than today's body excretion I haven't had any major events, praise Him! The year is still young my friend, stay tuned.
There is a nugget who talks like Napoleon Dynamite! It's hilarious and frustrating all at the same time.
Me: Friends, pick up your pencils.
Everyone expect Napoleon: *picks up pencil*
Me: Napoleon!
Napoleon: What?
Me: Pick up your pencil
Napoleon: Okay
All in that hushed tone Napoleon uses the whole movie "Gosh just bring me Chapstick!" Picture that in the body of a five year old and try not to pee your pants from laughing!
I don't have any pocket treats for you today since I took my pants off long ago to switch to running shorts. Which I didn't run in, but I did do two miles.....and then ate Taco Bell....it was delicious, I regret nothing!
